This is a fan site and blog about the upcoming BBC One series Sherlock, a modern-day rendition of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. The series is a co-production between the BBC and Masterpiece, produced by Hartswood Films, co-created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, and stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as Dr John Watson.

The first series transmitted on BBC One on Sunday nights in July and August, and will air in the United States on PBS Masterpiece Mystery! beginning October 24th. Stay tuned to the site for links to discussions of this series, any news about future filming, news about the stars’ and the producers’ other projects, as well as the occasional piece of general Sherlockian/Holmesian interest.
